Will you give up one night in your bed for one night, in solidarity with people escaping homelessness?
We're bringing our sleepout challenge to your place (virtually of course) and challenging you to take on the Big Bed Down challenge on Friday 26th March and raise money to tackle homelessness and extreme poverty.
Three reasons to take on the Big Bed Down challenge
We're all too familiar with seeing people who have to sleep out on the streets. Shockingly, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Hidden behind closed doors, 71,400 families and individuals are forced to sofa surf on any given night.*
The uncertainty of where they will be sleeping from one night to the next, ending up in dangerous situations, the lack of privacy and security, and overcrowding impacts people's physical and mental wellbeing.
All the money you raise will help people living in extreme poverty or at risk of homelessness.
Our sleepout fundraisers have raised more than £200,000 to tackle homelessness. This year we're going virtual, so adults and kids can take part safely and learn about the issues of hidden homelessness and sofa surfing together. We've got loads of resources for you to share the challenge with your school, colleagues and family, spread the word and fundraise even more.
Everyone will be joining the Big Bed Down challenge from their own homes, in their own way. You could raise money by live streaming a gaming marathon, dare your colleagues to camp out in their gardens, or make a competition of building a den with with your kids - we've got loads of ideas packed into our fundraising guide! On the night we will live stream chats with our amazing staff to learn more about our work as well as entertainment " so watch this space!
You too can be a part of an amazing team helping individuals and families overcome poverty.
Fundraise for us to help fund life-changing services for people
in need.
Your gift will help young homeless people and families escape the threat of homelessness.
